Farm-Fresh Food Getaway (June 9-11)

Schedule

  • Dinner on the farm (optional)
• Saturday
  • Breakfast Saturday 8-9am for those staying on the Farm Friday night
  • 9 AM load up (15 passenger Mercedes Van) for Athens Farmers Market 50 years old. Voted Best in OH last year.
  • 12-1 Farm Food Gourmet Lunch ( location to be determined
  • 1 Van trip to (Micheal and Lindsey’s Farm
  • 1:30-3:30 Farm Visit Michael and Lindsey’s Farm
  • 3:30-4 Van ride back to Woodland Ridge
  • 4:00 Fresh Chicken from the day’s farm Chicken Harvest at Woodland Ridge
  • 4:00 – 5:15 R&R before Farm Food Dinner Feast with networked farmer guests
  • 5:15 – 6:30 Tapas, appetizers and dinner
  • 7:15 on Option 1 On Farm campfire (welcome to bring an instrument).  Option 2  Load back on the van for an interface with the Amesville Writers Workshop (insert link) We may catch a reading and participants will surely join into the workshop’s dance event, with a live band in the Amesville Grange Hall.

Lodging

Discounted overnight lodging is available in any our beautiful Woodland Ridge Farm Stay accommodations or in neighboring host accommodations – choices all within a 3 mile radius of Tour Central at Woodland Ridge Farm & Learning Center. All accommodations sold 1st come 1st served and become part of the tour package for either an individual or a group tour package.

• Woodland Ridge Options 
  • The Guesthouse has 4 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, a shared kitchen and a shared great room space.
    • East Master Bedroom adjacent to East Master bathroom. (1) Queen Size Bed, (1) pull out Single Bed. Cost: $130 per night,  Add to your stay before or after or both, $50 per night.
    • East Loft (1) Full Size Bed. Uses East Master bathroom, downstairs. Cost: $90 per night, Add to your stay before or after or both, $40 per night.
    • West Master Bedroom adjacent to East Master bathroom. (1) Queen Size Bed, (1) Futon Single Bed. Cost: $130 per night, Add to your stay before or after or both, $50 per night.
    • West Loft (1) Full Size Bed. Uses East Master bathroom, downstairs. Cost: $90 per night, Add to your stay before or after or both, $40 per night.
  • Meadowview (1) Queen Size Bed, Bath with shower and whirlpool tub. Meadowview is a 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath apartment, well equipped, attractively done in a beautiful location overlooking the back field. Cost: $150 per night,  Add to your stay before or after or both, $50 per night.

  • Jim’s Barn loft – 1 Bedroom 1 Bath. Cost: $150 per night.
  • Danna’s Whippoorwill Cabin – 1 Bedroom 1 Bath. Cost: $150 per night.
